This privacy policy explains how Ferjekalkulator.no handles information when you use the website.
Data controller
Ferjekalkulator.no is operated by LAKI AS. If you have questions about privacy, contact us at [email protected].
In short
Ferjekalkulator.no is a free ferry-price calculator. You do not need an account, and you provide no personal data to use it. The calculation runs in your browser, and what you enter (ferry connection and vehicle length) is not stored and is not linked to you.
What information we process
- Usage statistics via cookies — only if you consent (see below).
- Technical server logs — as part of normal operation and security, the server may log information such as IP address, browser type and time. This is used to keep the service running and to protect against misuse, and is deleted on an ongoing basis.
Cookies and consent
We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used, in the form of anonymised, aggregated statistics. The analytics tool and its cookies load only if you actively consent in the consent banner. By default nothing loads until you have agreed (Consent Mode, denied by default), and your IP address is anonymised.
If you do not consent, no analytics cookies are set, and you can use the calculator as normal.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the consent settings on the website.
If advertising is shown on the website in the future, any advertising cookies will likewise be consent-based.
Who the information is shared with
We do not sell personal data. To deliver the service we use certain data processors:
- Google (Google Analytics) — aggregated usage statistics, only with consent. IP is anonymised.
- Cloudflare — content delivery and security.
- Hosting in the EU — the website runs on our own server within the EEA.
Retention
Server logs are deleted on an ongoing basis. Aggregated statistics in Google Analytics are retained according to Google's settings for the service.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have, among other things, the right to access, rectification and erasure of data about you, and the right to object to or request restriction of the processing. Contact [email protected] to exercise your rights.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.no) or your local data protection authority.
